Sarah fought for sobriety and secured her first apartment.  Elijah’s Closet assisted in furnishing her apartment in order to make it a “home” with the anticipation of her retaining custody of her children again.  The family portrait was taken by Sarah Dickey, an EC board member, after reunification occurred.

WE CAN’T DO THIS WITHOUT THE HELP FROM OUR WONDERFUL PARTNERS

Thank you so much TSgt Ciara Meyers and TSgt Jaclyn Werner and the Mathies Noncommissioned Officer Academy Class 19-5. Your generous monetary donation will further help Elijah’s Closet’s mission of reshaping foster care in our community.

A HUGE shout out to the Gulfport Old Navy for sponsoring a donation drive for Elijah’s Closet through Gap Inc’s Be what's possible initiative. We received several beds and also many, many needed supplies for our closet. They also raised $1,000 for us! It’s so encouraging to see our local business community reach out and help with our mission of reshaping foster care.

Thank you, Ginkgo Community! The money will go towards helping our local children in foster care. It takes a village and we have the best one!

A HUGE thank you to Neco’s Family Market for being such great partners. Neco’s even went out of their way to personally purchase diapers, wipes, baby shampoos and lotions for our local foster children. Derek Necaise and Timmy Cuevas have hearts of gold. We look forward to partnering with them in the future.

We wanted to extend a huge thank you to Sola Church for hosting a bedding drive for us. The sheets and blankets they donated will be used for foster children or at-risk children who are in need of clean bedding. Thank you for supporting your community!
